Dissolving Bears and Limericks

Q: A bear from Yosemite and a bear from Alaska fall into a pool of water.  Which one dissolves first?

A: The polar bear. (Explanation)Only a polar molecule (one whose electrons aren’t shared very equitably between atoms) dissolves in a polar solvent, such as water.

And ignoring the eyerolling, now for a limerick.

MosquitoA mosquito was heard to complain
that a chemist had poisoned his brain.
The cause of his sorrow
Was para-dichloro
diphenyltrichloroethane.
